ABOUT VOICES OF CHRIST

Voices of Christ Literary Ministries, formerly the Voices of Christ Prophetic Poetry Team, was founded nearly seven years ago by Prophetess Theresa Harvard Johnson. In its infancy, the ministry operated as a sanctuary for creative writers -- offering them a supportive venue through which to minister the gospel using their creative "prophetic" gifts of poetry and spoken word. God enhanced the ministry's vision over two years ago. Today, VOC operates as a mentoring, training and equipping ministry dedicated to preparing born again believers who write  the prophetic word of the Lord for scribal ministry. By request, members of Voices of Christ are often sent out to minister at various events. In addition, the team is trained to train others through "The Scribal Anointing" teaching series -- a vision  that promotes intimacy with God, sanctification and holiness - not self.

In particular, the ministry has an established mandate to break the strongholds of entertainment, competition, comparison and comprise in the lives of believers - enabling them to walk fully in the ministry Jesus Christ ordained. (Matthew 28:18-20) VOC is recognized as a forerunner in the "ministry" of the literary arts, and has been recognized in multiple publications including the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Charisma Magazine, Rejoice Atlanta News, WAEC860, WRFG, The Praise House Ministry Industry Show and others.

ABOUT THIS RETREAT

Ezekiel 9:1-2: Then He called out in my hearing with a loud voice, saying, “Let those who have charge over the city draw near, each with a deadly weapon in his hand.” And suddenly six men came from the direction of the upper gate, which faces north, each with his battle-axe in his hand. One man among them was clothed with linen and had a writer’s inkhorn at his side. They went in and stood beside the bronze altar.

Voices of Christ Literary Ministries International is pleased to announce the "2007 Christian Prophetic Poetry Writer's Retreat: The Season of The Scribe." The retreat will be held August 16-19, 2007 in Hampton, Georgia at the Calvin Center, a cozy camp and conference center perfect for intimate worship and writing.

Poets, spoken word artists and other creative writers will spend an intimate fun-filled, Holy Spirit guided four days of intense ministry, activation and training through the literary arts. This is not just another retreat experience, but an appointment with destiny and purpose! We are building ministers of the gospel not entertainers.

Daughter, a remnant has been obedient to my direction. They have headed my voice, and have caught hold of the vision I have set before them, says the Lord. I have called them by name. 

I have established them as my prophetic mouthpieces ...and have filled their mouths with understanding. I have affirmed them and on this day and I have established them in destiny.

Daughter, tell them that they are now walking in the SEASON OF THE SCRIBE! Tell them, that I am raising them up and preparing them for planting ...there is a great changing of the guard coming and their battle axes and inkhorns must be ready to war ....

Tell them that MY word shall come forth from them unhindered, bold .... and they shall pierce the hearts of men like a double edged sword even unto the bone and the marrow. I am releasing assignments, says the Lord. When I say go ... their feet shall be zealous to follow ...

I am releasing an urgency upon them to complete those things I have started in and through them. I am aligning relationships and opportunities that are propelling their destiny! I am pouring the words from their hands and mouths, and now -- they shall proclaim my name and I -- and I alone -- will be glorified from the heavens to the earth.

It is their season .... the SEASON OF THE SCRIBE IS UPON THEM ....They shall write and teach and study and pray and seek ... their hunger for me will increase says the Lord, their desire for understanding will increase says the Lord ....

I have made the way prosperous. Silence will now be broken with trumpets. As soon as they seek me, I will send instructions ...directions .... and without haste they shall speak.  Provision, provision, provision .... Open doors, open doors, open doors. Changing, shifting, moving into position .... ranks established ....

Those who have been out of position are now in position - says the Lord. Those who have been counted out are not counted in - says the Lord. Those in need of divine appointments and connections  now have them -- says the Lord. Just open your mouths and speak when I say speak ...for I shall place you before men who have what you need. I, your God, have set you apart as my own.

Toil not! Walk in your season! Hear my instructions! Proclaim the words that I have given you. Publish the news ... The harvest is upon you, and you shall reap the good that you have sown ... IN JESUS NAME!
