You know, there are so many INSTRUCTORS in the world today. This isn't a
bad thing, but when I look around and see all the people who connect
with me who are hurting and in need of healing, I say to myself -- where
are the instructors who are willing to "father." I don't mean become a
father -- but who are willing to walk with someone until they reach a
place where they are strong in the Lord and can stand on their own.
I don't just give people poetry or stand before an open mic and shout at
them. I "minister" to them from the love of God in my heart, and then
make myself available to be "who they need in Christ" at that particular
time. The scriptures say that we should become all things to all men. If
they are hungry, give 'em a sandwich. If they are cold, give them your
jacket. If they are sick, administer healing .....all in the name of
Jesus. Sometimes, I meet people and I'm not quite sure what to do. I'm
not ashamed of that. I simply say, "Would you like to meet my pastor, or
my spiritual father. I know a service that I can refer you to ..."
But I don't leave them hanging. Can you recall an instance when your
poem or writing became more than just "words" heard to someone.
Have you moved from poet, to minister to brother/sister? Sadly, some
people will remain "performers" forever. They will never tap into the
yoke destroying, healing power of ministry in their gifts and calling.
WHY? They are still focused on themselves. When are we going to release
instruction ....and begin to love through instruction? When are your
creative writings going to come alive in YOUR OWN life -- and you
become what you write?
There's a lot of writing ... but not enough living it. Scribes
must be their writing! You see, some of you are ANGER ... so when you
write .... we see it. Some are balls of HURT and disappointment. We see
it when you write. Some are EXTREMELY rejected and dejected. We see it
when you write ...
But there are MANY who are PRESSING AND PUSHING in the things of God. We
see it when you write. Some are SOLD OUT and HOLY SPIRIT INSPIRED ...
and enjoying the life they have in Christ. WE SEE IT when you write ....
Lord ... Lord ... Lord, God is trying to use some of us so PROFOUNDLY
.... but we are focused on SELF. Let go of you. Let your life reflect
His will for you ....
Live your life for the sake of others as He commanded, and watch the
rain ... the reign ... the reins come down. Care for
someone besides yourself ....
Become .... your BROTHER'S keeper. I said brother.... not step-nieces
and tenth-cousins who don't want Jesus...
Have you become the poem, the song, the novel, the instructional
guide, the spoken word .... that he has delivered from your belly ....?
