There is so much more to your scribal ministry than turning it into a
business, traveling the open mic scene, speaking at events, publishing
and marketing your books, generating sales, entering and winning
contests, and proving to people that "you have a message" on the inside.
We have entered a season of warfare. It doesn't mean that you will come
out bleeding and throwing rocks and sticks at people. It means that you
will walk into a place in "your scribal" ministry when you understand
that the words you are penning to paper and releasing in the atmosphere
is combating powers, principalities and the rulers of darkness in high
places. Your words are sabotaging and overthrowing the enemies plan to
STOP some poor soul somewhere from being reconciled to God.
Can you handle this responsibility?
Ezekiel 9 says:
1[THE SPIRIT] cried
in my ears [in the vision] with a loud voice, saying, Cause those to
draw near who have charge over the city [as executioners], every man
with his destroying weapon in his hand.
2And behold, six men came from the direction of the Upper Gate, which faces north, every man with his battle-ax in his hand; and one man among them was clothed in linen, with a writer's ink bottle at his side. And they went in and stood beside the bronze altar.
3And the glory of the God of Israel [the Shekinah, cloud] had gone up from the cherubim upon which it had rested to [stand above] the threshold of the [Lord's] house. And [the Lord] called to the man clothed with linen, who had the writer's ink bottle at his side.
4And the Lord said to him,
Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and
set a mark upon the foreheads of the men who sigh and groan over all the
abominations that are committed in the midst of it.
You see, the Lord is crying in our ears right now. There are many here
IN THIS GROUP who are getting ready to experience a CHANGE in their
writing. They will be sending out WAR CRIES -- words that will rock the
hearts and souls of men who are sitting at altars that were once
dedicated the God.
True scribes are CALLED!!! That's why many, many who have never penned a
single word of creative prophecy are now waking up in the midnight hour
writing poetry, skits, short stories, dreams, etc. GOD IS CALLING THEM!
No man is calling them .... GOD IS! A true scribe has an assignment, and
when that assignment ends there is another "SCRIBAL" assignment.
There are many folk who think they are scribes simply because they wrote
one or two things. A "scribe of the Lord," however, will have continuous
assignments. As soon as one thing is finished, God is releasing the next
and the next and the next. Don't miss this. He told that scribe to go
through the midst of the city ... through Jerusalem and set a mark upon
the foreheads of men who are SICK AND TIRED of the abominations being
committed in those cities and towns.
He sent SCRIBES to do this. The words that he are giving them .... are
words that they must take back to their own homes and communities to
DELIVER A WORD FROM THE LORD. For those who have been avoiding the
church -- you're getting ready to go back. For those who have forfeited
assignments right there in your own communities out of fear ... HE IS
SENDING YOU BACK. Too many are reaching for the nations, yet they have
not released the depth of their ministry in their own environments. The
Lord doesn't work this way. Jesus started at home and so must we.
Can you handle this responsibility?
Ezekiel 9
Continues...
5And to the others He said in my hearing, Follow [the man with the ink bottle] through the city and smite; let not your eye spare, neither have any pity.
6Slay outright the elderly, the young man and the virgin, the infant and the women; but do not touch or go near anyone on whom is the mark. Begin at My sanctuary. So they began with the old men who were in front of the temple [who did not have the Lord's mark on their foreheads].(A)
You see, there are many people waiting on
your obedience. The Lord has promised that he will send angels behind
you, warriors to support you as you go out. You will be a messenger who
POINTS OUT THE SIN through your scribal ministry. NEVER FORGET
THAT OUR JOB AS LEADERS IN THE BODY OF CHRIST IS TO SHOW PEOPLE IN WHAT
WAYS THEIR LIVES ARE WRONG? This is scripture. Jesus wants them to know
this so that they can get it right before its to late. He's not pointing
these things out to HURT ANYONE ... but to warn them of pending
calamity.
Many of the scribes in this group (whom I cannot and will not identify)
are PROPHETS. I don't mean people who prophesy. I mean people who are
WALKING IN THE OFFICE OF A PROPHET. So when you go forth as a scribe to
deliver these messages of warning -- you are really going as A PROPHET
OF THE LORD.... not a scribe.
This year, I know this with everything in me, MANY FALSE ALTARS are
coming down. But just before the altars come down many will get YET
ANOTHER opportunity to get it right. And guess what, the Lord is going
to use your voice, your books, your poster displays, your book marks ...
and even YOU to show up into the presence of these people and speak.
That's why it is important to complete your projects. GOD HAS A TIMING
FOR EVERYTHING. All you need to do is write what he gives you, and do
what he says to do with it ... and IT WILL reach the hands, eyes and
hearts of those who need to read and/or hear it.
Too many scribes are waiting on the opportunity to be physically present
to deliver a prophetic writing to someone. If you are waiting on this --
then you will miss God. That's why it is so important to understand that
IT IS NOT ABOUT US! We don't have to know what God wants to do with our
writing. If we do, that's great ... but if not, it is still OK.
In
the last part of Ezekiel 9 the scripture says...
7And He said to [the executioners], Defile the temple and fill its courts with the slain. Go forth! And they went forth and slew in the city.
8And while they were slaying them and I was left, I fell upon my face and cried, Ah, Lord God! Will You destroy all that is left of Israel in Your pouring out of Your wrath and indignation upon Jerusalem?
9Then said He to me, The iniquity and guilt of the house of Israel and Judah are exceedingly great; the land is full of blood and the city full of injustice and perverseness; for they say, The Lord has forsaken the land; the Lord does not see [what we are doing].
10And as for Me, My eye will not spare, neither will I have pity, but I will recompense their wicked doings upon their own heads.
11And behold, the man clothed
in linen, who had the ink bottle at his side, reported the matter,
saying, I have done as You have commanded me.
You see, another part of this SCRIBAL WARFARE we are engaging in is
"PRAYER & INTERCESSION." How many of you here in this group have a
CONSISTENT & ONGOING PRAYER LIFE? Answer this question honestly. You
will delay the promises and purposes God has for your life if your are
not in communication with him through prayer. Prayer opens the door for
you to receive divine instruction and guidance.
How many of you are properly positioned to intercede on behalf of
others? How many are interceding for the vision God has given you? Who
is standing in the gap for other scribes and ministers of the gospel who
are COMMITTED AND FAITHFUL to the gospel? Where are the intercessors?
This is a cry that God has placed in the land since the beginning of
time! Yes, you may receive prophetic writings from the Lord! Yes and
invitation or two may come forth for you to release the word the Lord
has placed in your belly! Yes doors may open .....
But there are some territories - that Ezekiel described above -- that
the Lord desires to take you into. SADLY, there are many here who would
only be able to go half way because they lack a prayer life ... they
lack a life of intercession ....
As a result, the wolves would devour them even though they had good
intentions. You have been called. The alarm has been sounded....
Can you handle the
responsibility?
