Be Extraordinary! Be Extra-ORDINARY!
This morning as I drove into the office to work, the Lord laid a heavy
burden on my heart concerning his people. I thought of some of my
closest friends and co-laborers in the Voices of Christ. I remembered
something that my spiritual father always tells me: "Theresa, there is
no one on this planet who is greater than you. You are just as capable
as anyone else. Never forget that."
My eyes watered. At first I thought I would cry, but a Holy boldness
rose within me as I realized so many of God's people are being deceived.
That burden that I carried this morning as a prophet was a burden tied
to destiny and in purpose. Then I realized something, the compassion of
Christ must come back to the church. Yes, we have sympathy for the poor,
the sick and the lame. But do we have the same compassion Christ had for
people who - for some reason - can't grasp the vision of God. As a
result, they miss their visitation. They die having failed to fulfill
their purpose on earth. Anyway, this is what the Lord shared with me:
"Daughter, many of my people are simply living day by day. Each day ends
in frustration and toil. They are not living to maximize the JOY in
their lives. When will they learn that MY JOY is their strength?"
Then the Lord gave me this: "To be extraordinary, you have extraordinary
people around you - not people who are going to confirm your negative
circumstances and who fail to bring viable solutions into your life. If
you find that you are the wisest person in your circle of influence;
then it is your job to begin to impart wisdom into the people in that
environment or find another another environment that will challenge you
to greatness.
"I didn't create anything common. I created the extraordinary!"
Proverbs 27:17 says: As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.
