PROPHETIC WORD:
A Word for My Remnant: August 6, 2006
The Holy Spirit is constantly reminding me that everything I need is on
the inside of me. Today, he quickened this very thought in my spirit and
began to speak. He showed me believers who are currently standing in a
place of frustration and drought, and he shared the solution. Please
take a few minutes to read this word.

THE PROPHETIC WORD
There are dreams and visions God has placed inside each one of you on
this list. And because GOD placed them there, it is up to him to bring
them to pass. I hear the Lord saying that some of you are in a hard
place right now ... a place of frustration. Your freedom, he says, will
come with obedience.
Many he has given instructions, and in their own eyes -- they see
themselves as wise. The problem is, God said, that there are some
instructions that you have failed to act upon and they have become faint
before your eyes. It's as if we don't believe - I mean really believe -
that he will perform his word in our lives. Today, the Lord is saying
... "I shall cause you to remember those dreams and I, your father,
shall resurrect them."
Before you say, "This isn't me!" or "I trust God!" Consider this, "Have
you done the things he has commanded you to do that will bring you out
of Egypt, your dry place? Have you activated and used what is in your
hand?" Have you written the book, started the business, openly
acknowledged your five-fold call into the ministry ... have you taken
that single step of faith. Maybe you've began many projects our Father
spoke in your heart -- and now it's five years later, and that project
is laying dusty and rusty in your mind or on your office shelf. Perhaps
there are vows you made over your destiny ... that you have failed to
keep. If this is the case -- you're holding what's in your hand. You've
failed to release the very breakthrough God has presented before you....
and our Father in heaven can't move on your behalf.
Today, God is saying: Resurrect that dream! Prophesy that vision that I
have given you! Trust me!
[In Proverbs 30:5, the bible says: "Every word of God is pure; He is a
shield to those who put their trust in him."
Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean
not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He
shall direct your paths.
Job 15:31: Let him not trust in futile things, deceiving himself, For
futility will be his reward. (Anything of this world is futile. It can
only be transformed under the power of God. God turns your natural for
supernatural.]
Come out from under the spirit of slothfulness and procrastination in
JESUS NAME! These agents seek to steal your dreams, visions, destiny and
purpose in God. When God gave you that dream or vision and prophesied
your destiny before you were formed in your mother's womb - he said, "GO
FORTH! WHERE IS THIS DREAM NOW? HAVE YOU KILLED IT? HAVE YOU SET IT
ASIDE BECAUSE IT SEEMS UNATTAINABLE IN YOUR OWN EYES?
I've been there. I've thought this! But God reminded me that it is NOT
IN my own ability that his words shall come to pass. For example,
there's a book (an autobiography) I've put off writing. I told myself
that I would pursue the dream when the finances came in. Well, that was
three years ago! Let's be real ... I chose to do something else. What's
your excuse?
When God gave me this dream, he never said - "Theresa, start this when
your money is right and you've learned all the ins and out of
publishing." He never said, "Theresa, I'll drop the publishing company
out of the sky and THEN you can write the book." All he told me to do
was "WRITE." He said to me, "Can you just be obedient in doing this."
As a prophet, I should have known that God only reveals things in part.
If I trusted him the way I claimed, I would have sensed that he was
waiting on my OBEDIENCE, my TRUST in his word and my FAITHFULNESS to do
as he commanded.
While money is the currency of man, FAITH fueled by trust and obedience
in GOD is the currency in heaven. I MISSED IT! Yet, God is able to
restore! I am making a plea to you today to go back to your first love.
Forget what the world says you should be doing and how you should be
doing it and ... return to those directions that he gave you ... and put
them in action!
BREAK THE GENERATIONAL STRONGHOLD OF SLOTHFULNESS & PROCRASTINATION OFF
YOUR LIFE TODAY ... IT PROFITS NOTHING!
[**SLOTHFULNESS: Lazy; the act of moving slowly; despising work or
exertion
**PROCRASTINATION: the act of procrastinating; putting off or delaying
or deferring an action to a later time]
Most of us would not describe ourselves in this way. After all, we care
for our children, get up and go to work everyday, carry out various
functions and responsibilities in the church, we minister to people and
prophesy, and the list goes on. But if we really sat down and thought
about it -- we'd realize that the BODY OF CHRIST is DOMINATED by these
spiritual strongholds! Believers are lacking because they refuse to use
the very thing God has placed in their hands to bless them and to be a
blessing to the body.
As a result of this disobedience, many find themselves struggling
financially unnecessarily, feeling inadequate and intimidated by
prosperity, comparing ourselves to others, lacking the motivation to
propel ourselves forward, etc. Why are we like this God? Why? We are
quick to do something to help someone else. We are quick to put the
plans in action that "WE WANT" to be fulfilled or that we know from our
flesh they have worked in the past ... but when it comes to the secret
things that God places in heart ... WE ARE SLOTHFUL AND WE
PROCRASTINATE!
A little obedience here and little disobedience there adds up to huge
problem of REBELLION and DISOBEDIENCE everywhere ... and God's hands are
tied concerning us because we want release what he has put in us.
[Proverbs 21:5: "The desire of the lazy man kills him, for his hands
refuse to labor."
Proverbs 12:24: "The hand of the diligent will rule, but the lazy man
will be put to forced labor."
Proverbs 18:9: "He who is slothful in his work is a brother to him who
is a great waster."
Proverbs 6:6: "Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be
wise."
Proverbs 13:4: "The soul of the lazy man desires and has nothing; but
the soul of the diligent shall be made rich."
2 Thessalonians 3:10-15: ". . . If anyone will not work, neither shall
he eat. For we hear that there are some who walk among you in a
disorderly manner, not working at all, but are busybodies. Now those who
are such we command and exhort through our Lord Jesus Christ that they
work in quietness and eat their own bread. But as for you, brethren, do
not grow weary in doing good. And if anyone does not obey our word in
this epistle, note that person and do not keep company with him, that he
may be ashamed. Yet do not count him as an enemy, but admonish him as a
brother."]
What work has God commissioned you to do? What excuses are you using to
validate your ability to do it? Are you a busybody? I hear the Lord
saying,
God is calling you FORTH TODAY! God is resurrecting your dead dreams and
visions today! God is calling you forth. I hear him saying …remnant
RISE! RISE. Says God ... RISE! For I desire to make your name great as
you work for my glory! Let me use the abilities I've placed in you!
I desire to bless you … lifting you out of Egypt, ending your trek
around the mountain … Come forth! Write the songs, the book, the
articles … paint the pictures, start the business, prophesy to the
north, the south, the east and the west … WAKE UP FROM YOUR SLEEP …TAKE
OFF YOUR MASKS …
Come out from the dry place! Walk in to this new day I have presented
before you. Eat at MY table … Get ready for fullness and increase!
I urge you brothers and sisters in Christ …Don't grow weary ... Our
father desires to reveal himself to you. Make full proof of your
ministries.
