How does your garden grow?
By Gwen Monroe
Marietta, Georgia

With a heart of humility as fertile ground  (Proverbs 18:12; Matthew 12:23)
-every day my flesh is further bound  (1 Corinthians 15:31)

-so as not to hinder my spirit from
-obeying the Father - when He bids me to come
-into His presence to intimately commune
-and receive His ‘miracle growing’ grace so I continue to
      bloom
-right where He has planted me
(Jeremiah 17:8)

-along well traveled roads that others will see

His beauty (in the midst of the gravel and broken glass)

-as His hope and His power to know that they too will
     surpass
(Philippians 2:12,13)

-the traps and hurdles of a cold and dying world
-with His peace and His compassion for every man, woman,
      boy and girl
-who will cast down their personal agendas and lift His Name
      up high
(John 12:32)

-allowing the divine ‘weed eater’ of worship to rid us all of
      pride.
(2 Corinthians 4:7)

So, I consistently till my heart so that His Word will take deep
     root
  (Matthew 13:23)

-‘cause a Christian falling from gracethat ain’t even cute
     (See Judas)

The fruit in my garden must be readily available at all times  (2 Timothy 4:2)

-for I am called to the nations, to all ages with gifts of
    all kind
(Psalm 96:3)

Therefore, offense, doubt and ‘what if’s’ – are not welcomed in this garden of mine
-I must uproot them and tear them down
    – it’s the little foxes that spoil the vine
(Jeremiah 1:9; Song
      of Solomon 2:15)

-but when I repent & take heed, the Holy Spirit pours out so I
      will know
(Proverbs 1:23)

-then the ‘S-O-N’ shines bright when it’s my season  - now
      tell me…

… how does your garden grow?

About Gwen Monroe: Gwendolyn Elaine Vaughn-Monroe was born in Kansas City, Missouri, as the fifth child, to the union of Leo M. Vaughn and Hattie L. Jones Vaughn-Williams.

Gwen retired in 1993, after 21 years, from the U.S. Army as an Officer. She continues to hold the rank of Major, and immediately joined God’s army with a spiritual assignment to teach youth and young Christians to pray.

Her first book entitled “Yeah, I P.O.G.A.D. - don’t you?” was released in 2001 to ignite the enthusiasm for prayer in youth and young Christians in God’s Kingdom. Her ever growing passion for both prayer and worship continues to strengthen her as she answers her ‘dVyne’ call to Praise, Pray and Prophesy to and for the Almighty Father God. Gwen owns sole copyright to this work.
