This Worship Is All I Got
By Sepia Gladden
Lithonia, Georgia

I don’t have a bunch of words to say

Because when I’m in your presence

It’s all too overwhelming to pray

Now, I know I’ve been told I should worship you,

 This and that way

But truthfully, a lot of times,

All I can do is bow down before you,

While in my tears, I lay

See I don’t have that 24-7 lifestyle

I feel that makes you continually smile

Nor could I ever sacrifice

Anything,

That could ever compare to Jesus,

 Your son’s paid price

And this faith that you so graciously gave to me

Unfortunately,

I don’t even know its strength, until it’s been tested

Which is why, it is in your word I have rested

When I’m weak, you are strong

Otherwise, I’d a told you a long time ago,

I was not fit and from me,

You could just move on

Why? Because I really can’t say it, pray it, pay it,

Or even constantly live it

So if I couldn’t worship you,

For me that would be it

And when I think about that

It’s you, who’s even given me my worship,

Why?

So simply put,

To you I can give it right back

For I now realize all I have,

Is what you give

And truly, it is in you that I move, breathe and live.

Hebrew13:15 “Therefore by him, let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God that’s the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to his name.”
