Lord, I arise in your dignity

I arise and be all that you have said I can be

I arise with the very confidence of you working in and through me

For I have chosen to take what you have spoken and

Dismiss what all others have just so lightly and casually

Have tried to say that I would be

And instead,

I arise in your strength

I arise in your creativity

I arise in the knowing that I too am, an I AM

Created in your image, created to do great and marvelous things

Created because I do have an assignment to accomplish

And so, because of that

I shall arise and take dominion

I shall arise and subdue,

I shall arise and rule,

As a matter of fact,

I’m going to be all that you've called for me to be,

And then some

Why, because I have chosen to do so

That’s why,

I have chosen to believe in the you that lives within me

I have chosen to behold and know,

Not only is Christ soon to come

But is now ever so clearly and evidently,

Working in and through me,

             So I shall arise to walk out my total freedom in Christ

That finally I can see God’s will being done,

 And finally

I can see God’s Kingdom having come, in me

I Arise

 

Sista Sepia (Sepia Gladden): SISTA SEPIA moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1994. Since moving to Georgia she has committed her life to serving God utilizing her Gifts and Talents. She is also a former co-host of the nationally syndicated radio program, "The Holy Hip Hop Show" which is dedicated to taking the gospel to the streets using gospel rap.
